I was thinking to myself, we all (small blogs/bloggers) are trying to get where the big blogs are by promoting all the free ways, writing great content on our blogs, and making “small” sums of money. With that money what do we really do with it?
I know we should be putting that money into making money but I can’t help but buy dinner and pay bills with it. This is why I try to push it more and more each month. Last month I fell off a few bucks. My highest month of earnings so far is April. If you are like me, you use the money for the following;
- Lunch/Dinner
- Gas
- Bills
- Building More Websites
I got to admit its mostly food. I love eating. ok, lets get back on subject.
I took a look around on advertisement rates on these big blogs and I seen something that I like. I notice that even the big blogs like JohnCow advertise on even bigger blogs. These big blogs are affordable for the 125×125 size ads. I seen one for $40 a month that I know will bring traffic from looking at their readership count.

Well I’m still working full time, so the money from my blog is just going to my account. It’s good to know that it pays for itself though (hosting)

There are big blogs with affordable prices…there are other with prohibitive ones that make the cost per click much more expensive. We must take in count every detail.

@Michael Aulia
I pay hosting for a year. so I aim to make that back with the first 2 months. so after that is all profit.
@Binary Ant
That is something to take into account. I seen some blogs with over 50k readers thats affordable. 1 month for like $40 will get clicks so im not worried about it.
